Thailand
The first time I went to Thailand, it really changed me. Quoting the late Anthony Bourdain, "I remember the moment I first realized I’ve been living my whole life in black and white. It was like discovering a color I never knew existed before… That was it for me. From then on, there was no putting the pieces back together. No going home. Things were different now.".
I've since spent a lot of time in The Land of Smiles. I met my wonderful and supportive wife and mother of my children there. I have made lasting relationships with new friends and family. I’m grateful to say that connecting to a culture and language much different to my own has had a deep, positive impact on my life.
